Much was made of Paul McCartney's 64th birthday in the media and on websites all over. Certainly, Paul probably wishes it hadn't come at such a rocky time in his life
and he could have relished in the press attention he seems to enjoy a little more.
But really, it shouldn't have been a big deal. It's not like Paul just acquired his first facial wrinkle. If anything, the breakup of his marriage -- and the future of his child -- is more on his mind than a simple turning of the calendar page.
So Paul, here's some advice -- don't pay attention to the attention. Do what you need to do to get past this rocky period. It's Beatrice and, yes, even Heather, who should be uppermost in your thoughts. Whatever happens -- whatever you and Heather decide -- there's a child who may grow up with divorced parents, something the rest of your kids never had. So get them to show Beatrice some love -- and give Dad some space to work it all out.
And here's to 64 more....
